This year, I’ll be heading to Cyprus, with my soon-to-be wife and in-laws, so, like me, make sure to get a must-needed rest from your work activities.

This piece will be a collection of upcoming and popular applications that I’d recommend for relaxing and conquering your own projects over the summer. Whether you want to zen out, or double down on planning your next big ideas, they are all here, ready to download.

Your Checklist

Get organised and ready for everything!

☑️ Notion (iOS, Mac, Windows)

Getting things ready is stressful. Use Notion to plot out all your activities and projects. It’s open plan workspace allows you to create whatever you like.

🌲 Habitify (iOS, Android)

A new attractive habit-tracker for keeping an eye on your goals. Goals can be monitored here and each day you can check-in towards your mission. Perfect for loosing weight before the summer swim, or getting all the work done.

Todoist (Most devices)

The perfect tool for creating a to-do list for work, or even for tallying your pack list for your holiday or vacation. Todoist is on all devices and easy to use.

📅 Timepage (iOS only)

The most beautiful of the calendar apps, Timepage. Designed by Moleskine, it’s a nice way to view your events coming up and all the timings you need.

💼 Shyft (iOS only)

Stressed by what you need to get done at work… and at home. This app will help. Two to-do lists, one for work, one for personal. Perfection!

Learn & Move

Taking in new lessons is part of recovery.

🎧 Audible (iOS, Android)

Running down the beach or watching the sunset and can’t quite grab your book. Audible is a nifty tool for reading books, hands-free.

🎙️Castro 3 (iOS)

Maybe the best podcast app out there. Keep updated or even catch-up with your podcasts this Summer, using this beautifully design podcast hub!

📝Medium (iOS, Android, Web)

The site you are reading this on. Medium is a great tool for learning something new, even on vacation, the style of article makes it easy to read and great for all those who want a dose of knowledge on vacation.

🧟Run Zombie Run (iOS, Android)

The most interactive running application, Run Zombie Run might add a little spice into your summer runs, with a story mode giving you a fun + scary run.

🎓Skillshare (iOS, Web, Android)

Courses. Courses. Courses. These courses will work great over the holidays if you are travelling on the plane or train. Go offline and learn, easy peasy!

iPad Scribbles

Got an iPad, time to scribble in your deck chair, or at a table.

🗒️GoodNotes 4 (iOS)

Scribbling up ideas or thoughts?! Maybe even diagrams or musings. GoodNotes is a awesome tool for all of that on your iPad!

🐻Bear Notes (iOS, Mac)

Got an idea for a novel whilst walking along the beach. Time for Bear. Grab your laptop or phone and start typing with this distraction-free writer app.

✏️Adonit Dash 3 (Amazon)

Not an app, but perfect for scribbling on an iPad without the high fee of the Apple Pencil, definitely worth exploring as your official iPad pencil/pen.

🎨Linea Sketch (iOS)

Does drawing help you relax?! Linea Sketch is ideal for bringing together your sketches. From small sketches to advanced object designs. It’s neat!

📄Drafts 5 (iOS)

Clip ideas, notes, documents and more into Drafts and connect them easily to your most popular apps. It’ll make taking small notes on your iPad so nimble.

Zen Out Time

Take a moment to just pause and chill!

🧘‍♂️Asana Rebel (iOS/Android)

Yoga sounds hard! If you’re a newbie, but with apps like Asana Rebel it’s much easier from home. You can do this anywhere, from the beach to your room.

🌱Aloe Bud (iOS)

This sounds like a beer brand, but it’s not. This pocket tool helps you to respect yourself and manage your self-care activities. Reminders + more…

💤SleepTown (iOS/Android)

Yes, the late nights in summer are good! But sleep is so important! SleepTown really does help you to build healthy habits with your sleep.

🧠Aura (iOS/Android)

One of the better mediation apps, Aura is great for adding a dose of meditation into your routine. From 3–7 minutes, it’s ideal for beginners.

Social Media Noise

Get away from the social medias!

🍅BFT Pomodoro Timer (iOS/Android)

Get away from the noise. If you’re working or even reading. Use an app like Forest or BFT to get focused with a timer and avoiding skipping apps.

Freedom (Desktop/iOS/Android)

Don’t get distracted by your laptop. Ban websites like Facebook or YouTube, not Medium aha, to help avoid the noisiness on your vacations.
