The evolution of the AI tools for productivity and prediction
These are my own personal predictions of the evolution cycle that AI will play in and into with productivity systems.
Generative AI
The current state of affairs is plug-and-play OpenAI GPT-3 AI that we’re seeing inside of Notion, Craft and even tools like Logseq — with little to no divergence from the system.
We’re also seeing Mem use this to enhance existing knowledge inside their application and Coda plug this into their databases for use with buttons.
Largely, this AI is on-demand usage and best fits writers and those looking to enhance something their already doing, a helpful little assistance.
Qatalog is another using gen-AI to build workspaces, an interesting concept when it comes to building your own from scratch — a habit I’m sure in 2025 we’ll all be laughing at that we once did.
