These are my recommendations for the next year that I believe to be the best to-do apps on the market. This list normally takes me about 3–4 weeks to put together, and I make sure to include a wide range of tools.

We also like the timer, guided help ending each day and the notifications you get when you add too many tasks. More suitable for busy professionals.

Motion wants to be your smart AI assistant by allowing you to organize tasks for you, by using the context you add. Many people want to remove administration from workload. Motion helps with that. More suitable for busy professionals without a budget.

Superlist is a to-do app with a difference. You can add tasks & notes in one house. It helps you manage your lists, assign them to other, making it a great option for meeting notes and a great real-time collaboration to-do app. You can also import tasks from other apps.

Things 3 is a apple-focused to-do app. Easily the most attractive to-do list app on the market, with the minimal feel with powerful features. You can not only manage tasks, lists but personal projects too, making it a great place to organize and schedule tasks for your solo use.

8. Microsoft To-Do

Microsoft To-Do is the best free to-do list app for those looking for something similar, yet useful for daily task management. It connects with Microsoft Outlook for those who want to flag emails, allows you to assign tasks and organize what’s on.

9. Structured

Structured is a stunning, casual to-do list app. Perfect for those who are timeline based and like to see their habits, routine items and tasks all together. It works easily to help you manage all of these in one view. They have an AI feature in their premium that allows you to add tasks easily.

Suitable for visual thinkers, Trello allows you to manage your tasks in Kanban-style lists, with stickers, backgrounds, emojis and more. This is perfect for those who want to share their tasks as a team too, but for solo users a great way to manage your lists and tasks.

This is an attractive to-do app for those who want something that balance notes, tasks and calendar in one. It’s more of a minimal tool for managing all three with good capture and perfect for those who want an all-in-one productivity hub for workload management. Routine is an interesting option.

Still focused on organizing tasks with GTD. This app is one of the best. Nirvana helps to manage your workload in the style of David Allen allowing you to better focus on what’s important, what’s next and with context tags. People love this and we think it’s one of the best GTD apps on the market, with a reasonable annual price tag too.
