Did you know this about popular note-taker Obsidian?

Obsidian has become one of the most well-known research and advanced note-taker on the market and it actually is the version 2 experience.

For those who don’t know, Obsidian is owned by Shida Li and Erica Xu (pictured below):

They both worked on creating something a few years ago called “OmniFlow” — a note-taking application focusing on outlining. Well, this eventually turned into Dynalist — one of the biggest Workflowy competitors on the market.

Yes, Dynalist was created by Obsidian and they work on both of the experiences in tandem. Dynalist focuses on outline and Obsidian more on connected notes.

Even more wild, Obsidian has Shida and Erica working on Obsidian and Dynalist — with Obsidian having Liam Cain as the third member of the team.

For such a well-designed and updated note-taker, having 3 people is rare.
