The Future of the “All-in-One” Productivity Tool
One app to rule them all will exist one day
The last 3 years we’ve constantly been hearing about this “all-in-one” app — that does everything, that only requires one experience.
The “all-in-one” productivity app has become almost the conversation of the productivity space — as new apps like ClickUp, Monday and Notion all join in the rally to onboard new users.
🧐 But is there truly an all-in-one productivity app?
Short answer. No.
The all-in-one applications tend to do 80%-85% of the job right. They get us from A to B and they tend to be good or average at doing everything.
When I say everything. I mean Notion isn’t great at calendar, but it does about 80% of the job, if you were to be rigid and use as your go-to calendar.
Same applies to others. ClickUp does notes through docs and notepad. But does it carry the same strength as fully fledged note-taking application, not a chance. But again, it does 80% of the job.
