Turn Emails into Tasks in Gmail

Simple trick that allows you to keep track of to-do’s

Google Mail can be used in both GSuite and with Google Mail regular accounts to turn any email into a task. Emails as tasks are helpful for finding the email and allocating tasks instead of keeping them in your inbox.

⚡️ A free and simple, no-install, way to save tasks in Gmail is easy to get started:

  1. Go to Gmail
  2. Open the Sidebar (Right Hand Side)
  3. Select “Tasks” — known as Google Tasks
  4. This comes pre-installed, so no need to install anything
  5. Pick an email to save as a task
  6. Drag said email into the sidebar
  7. Rename your task with a suitable titles (as it takes email subject)
  8. Add a due date and time
  9. Add relevant notes and sub-tasks
  10. Great news, you’ve saved an email as a task
